The season’s shopping lists are long enough without tacking on crafting supplies. So we found a project that requires only items you’re likely to have around, including twigs, paper tags and correction fluid (like Wite-Out).

And if you don’t have something, improvise. For instance, no gift tags? Cut 2½-by-5-inch rectangles out of card stock. Get creative!
You’ll Need:
• Small wooden twigs, ¼” to ½” diameter
• Correction fluid
• Glue
• Scissors
• Twine
• Paper gift tags ($10 for a pack of 20; paper-source.com)
• Red ribbon
• Scotch tape
Step-by-Step Tutorial:
1. Break twigs into short lengths (about 1½”). Paint highlights on twigs with correction fluid, leaving some wood exposed.
2. Form letters with twig pieces, spelling out Christmas. Glue each twig letter onto a gift tag.
3. Cut nine pieces of twine about 6″ long. Thread a piece of twine through eyelet on a gift tag and tie onto red ribbon so tag hangs down about 3″. Continue this way, keeping space even between tags. Tape each end of red ribbon to wall to hang garland.
